New Trustee Regan Seminaro

The Yorkshire Young Achievers Foundation which makes grants to young people across the region has a new Trustee,

Regan Seminaro joins the charity’s Board of Trustees in the run-up to the 30th anniversary of the Foundation’s main fundraising event, the annual Yorkshire Young Achievers Awards in November.

She is a Commercial Litigation Executive working at leading Harrogate law firm McCormicks Solicitors, the main sponsor of the Awards.

Regan graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in English and went on to work on commercial disputes in San Antonio from 2017. She moved to England in 2022 and joined McCormicks last year.

Regan said: “I am excited to be part of the team behind the Yorkshire Young Achievers Foundation and Awards, which does so much for young people. I have always been eager to help others and In Texas, I volunteered for non-profit organisations that provided books to underprivileged children and school districts.”

The Yorkshire Young Achievers Awards have now raised £1.5million for young people across Yorkshire and the Foundation was formed in 2010 to make grants direct to individuals and to organisations that support them.

This year’s event takes place at the Leeds United Centenary Pavilion on Thursday 14 November and tickets are now on sale at www.yorkshireyoungachievers.co.uk.

Foundation Chairman Peter McCormick OBE said: “We are delighted to welcome Regan to the team. She is always enthusiastic and hard working and will undoubtedly bring the same approach to helping the young people of Yorkshire.”
